Weekly Happenings ~ June 24th, 2026
|
Greetings Templeton Fish and Game Members, Guests, and Community Members!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our opening weekend of the Summer Music Series - we had a great crowd and some excellent music by West End Country! Check out the full lineup below and join us again this Sunday for Maggie Neff! The weekly summer music series is hosted every Sunday from 2-5 at the Lower Pavilion Pond View Pub! Our new summer hours are posted below - stop in for a cold one with expanded hours at the Club! If anyone is interested in learning the game of MahJong, Terri Doucette has a small group of people gathering at the Club on Thursday nights at 6:00 to play!
Before we get to Sunday, we have another musical performance on Saturday, June 27th, featuring Down Daizy from 7-10 on the Upper Band Stand! Bring a chair and a friend and enjoy a night out at the Templeton Fish & Game Club - CASH only bar available (ATM on premises). Finally, we are less than two weeks away from our 16th Annual Templeton Fish & Game Golf Cart and Boat Parade on Saturday, July 4th - Golf carts rally in the club parking lot at 3:45 for 4:00 departure, boats rally in the South Cove for a 6:15 for a 6:30 departure - our theme this year is America's 250th Birthday!
The Queen of Hearts is still alive, and the jackpot is now over $10K, sitting at $10,616 at the Templeton Fish & Game Club. The Queen is drawn every Friday night at 7:00 sharp!
IMPORTANT NOTICES TO ALL MEMBERS MEMBERS MEETING - Our next members' meeting will be held on Monday, June 29th, starting at 6:30. Board elections will take place at this meeting - all nominations have been received - write-ins will be allowed if desired. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Templeton Fish & Game Club should submit their application to our membership secretary. Members are sworn in monthly at our meetings! All new members must be sponsored by a current member of the Club! You can find membership details and the application on the membership page of our website!
Absolutely NO VEHICLES ON THE BEACH - All vehicles accessing the beach area should park in the parking area - all boats must be launched from a boat ramp - there are several boat ramps on each side of the pond on Club Road and Rainbow Drive.
Weekly pond water testing begins this week and will continue through Labor Day. Testing is completed by Nashoba Analytical in Ayer, with results reported to both Town Hall and the State to ensure the water remains safe for all recreational activities. You may also notice new swan decoys at the beach area. These are in place to help deter geese from pooping in the beach area. Please do not touch or play with the decoys.
SEPTIC ALARMS and PUMP OUT CONTINUE: As you return to camp if you are an owner, it is essential that your electricity is turned on and your septic alarm is working with a functioning lightbulb - last year we ended the season with only 2 failures out of 105 alarms - let's get that number to 100% this season! It is critical that our alarms are operating correctly for DEP and Conservation. Lawrence Septic earned the pump out bid this year - the cost will be $.22/gallon. Camp owners can call anytime (978-632-9470) to be pumped out for the contracted rate and will also include the required inspection. If your camp does not need a pump out now, pump outs and tank inspections will be conducted in June. If you have any questions, please reach out to our DEP Liaison, Eric Adamson.
CONTACT UPDATE: Do you need to update your mailing address, email, or phone with the club? Please use our contact update form located on our website! You can find the form on our Member Forms page. If you know someone not getting these Weekly Happenings, they can sign up to receive them by visiting the "Weekly Happenings Sign-Up" page on our website! You can also read an online version of the Weekly Happenings that will be posted every Wednesday afternoon on the homepage of our website after the emails are sent. Check out our website anytime you are looking for more information about the club!
Have a great week! Cheers, The Email Lady, Lynn Sayarath |
