Greetings Templeton Fish and Game Members, Guests, and Community Members!
The lake is coming back to life, with renewed activity around camps and roadways as spring arrives. We have many people to thank this week. First, Gabe Martin for his service in maintaining our water supply system, and Boucher Funeral Home for their generous donation of the American flag at the clubhouse flagpole. Our roadways are also seeing improvements. Dan Peckham and his students fabricated a pull-behind agitator to help smooth potholes and bumps, and Russ St. Pierre generously provided the use of his York rake to assist with the work. Ricky Leger has been hard at work smoothing out Hogan and Rainbow Drive, as well as other areas across the property. We are grateful to the many members who dedicate their time and effort to keeping our club well-maintained. Bravo to all!
Our very popular Circle Jam is back THIS Sunday, April 19th, from 2:00 - 5:00 in the Clubhouse. Bring your favorite instrument and join the circle for a lively jam of local musical talent! Tickets for our annual Chicken BBQ held in May are NOW ON SALE! Tickets can be purchased at the Club and must be purchased in advance. The Queen of Hearts is also still alive, and the jackpot is now over $5,600 at The Templeton Fish & Game Club. The Queen is drawn every Friday night at 7:00 sharp! There are so many different ways to support our Club, and we thank you in advance for doing so!
Please remember it is mud season, so be mindful when driving on any club roads, as they may be soft. Please do NOT drive up on the hill near the club either, so we keep our property in good shape heading into the warmer days. Camp owners, please remember that any work done on your lots must be approved by the lot committee in advance. The club recently purchased four white swans to deter geese from hanging around - we plan to put two at the lower pavilion and two at the beach. Do not touch or move them!
NEW MEMBERS WELCOME - Our first Members meeting of the new season will be held on Monday, April 27th, starting at 6:30. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Templeton Fish & Game Club should submit their application to our membership secretary. Members are sworn in monthly at our meetings! GRASS MOWING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED |
The grass is starting to peek through around the lake, which means it’s that time of year to call on our members for help with mowing the property. Many hands make light work!
Volunteer sign-ups are now available in the clubhouse. This effort helps the club save a significant amount of money, and you’re welcome to volunteer once, twice, or as often as you can.
We truly appreciate all the help and support! |
