Greetings Templeton Fish and Game Members, Guests, and Community Members!
From our Club Chairman Paul Cormier: "On behalf of the Board and Membership of the Templeton Fish & Game Club we would like to thank several members of our community for the spectacular displays and festivities held over the holiday weekend! We would also like to thank John and Diane Suomala for the donation of the 4th of July wreath that netted around $170 for the club and was won by Diane Boudreau. Thank you also to Diane McDonald for her lottery wreath that netted over $900 and was won by Danny Peckham! Thank you to Lynn Sayarath for organizing our 15th Annual Boat and Golf Cart parade and to all of our members who participated. Finally, thank you to all of our members and their guests for keeping the grounds clean all weekend long!"
ANNUAL POND TREATMENT TOMORROW: Camp Owners, please please be advised the pond treatment is tomorrow, Thursday, July 10th! There is NO swimming, boating, or activity in the lake on treatment day, please be advised and inform any guests coming to the pond! There will be one small boat doing the treatment. Swimming lessons from the Town of Templeton Recreation Department began this week, please be advised groups will be using the beach for these lessons (except Thursdsay). Templeton Fish & Game is proud to continue this collaboration with the town for use of our beach free of charge!
HOGAN ROAD - Camp owners and guests accessing the Rainbow Drive side of the pond are encouraged to slow down and look both ways before turning north or south on Rainbow - there have been several incidents as of late with drivers not looking and almost causing an accident especially when turning left onto Rainbow which can be blind for those coming up Rainbow from the North end. We will be installing a STOP sign at the end of Hogan this week - please be advised!
The Queen of Hearts is back this weekend and will be drawn at 7:00 on Friday night at the club. The drawing is open to the public and the bar is open! Grab your friends and come down and enjoy a cold one. Our very popular Summer Music Series continues this coming Sunday, July 13th featuring "The Remedy" playing from 3-6 PM at the Pond View Pub - see the full lineup below! Please follow our Facebook page for any weather-related updates during the series! Our very popular Annual Fish Fry (Haddock, French fries, and coleslaw) will take place on Sunday, August 10th; serving begins at 2:00 - only 50 tickets will be sold, so don't wait - tickets are $15 per person and available at the Bar or by contacting Jody Corey - the afternoon will also feature music from Dave Malouin at the Pond View Pub!
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR BOATERS: ALL BOATS are also required to have functioning lights if you are operating them after dark - all individuals manning small crafts including canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, paddleboards, etc. MUST be wearing a visible glow stick or other light source to identify you in the water after dark! This continued to be a problem over the holiday weekend - all boaters must have a light source when in the water after dark or you will be asked to exit the water with your craft. OPEN WATER SWIMMERS: Anyone swimming outside of your camp swimming area and in the middle of the pond must have a visible swimming buoy on - this is for your safety. Finally, The South end of the pond is a NO WAKE ZONE, please ensure you are not creating a wake when traveling in this end of the pond, this prevents further erosion along our shoreline - slow down.

Exclusivity: No other lights should be displayed that could be confused with navigation lights. |

Open Water Swimming Buoys for Safety |
Swimming in open water can be a great experience, but safety should always be a priority. Swim buoys, also known as tow floats or open water swimming buoys, are inflatable devices that attach to a swimmer's waist and trail behind them, provide enhanced visibility and safety.
Anyone open water swimming at Templeton Fish & Game Club outside of their camp beach area should be wearing a swim buoy! |

This is a reminder that the south end of the pond and the area around the dam in the north end is a "no wake zone". Our dam is an earth dam therefore we need to limit erosion.
All Boats and Golf Carts must have your lot number clearly marked on each and have functioning lights if operating after dark.
PLEASE USE CAUTION |
|
|
This is a reminder that the speed limit remains the same all season long here at the Templeton Fish & Game Club. Also, please proceed over the bridge on Club Road with extra caution.
