Welcome to October! This weeks newsletter marks the 101st Weekly Happenings - WOW, you can find the archive of our weekly happenings newsletters on our website! Fall is definitely in the air at the Templeton Fish and Game Club, but we still have a great lineup of events this month! NEW Fall Hours started last week and are listed below, please take notice. As camp owners begin to close up and head home for the season or head south, please make sure the Club has an accurate mailing address on file. You can update your contact information using our contact update form located on our website! You can find the form on our Member Forms page.
The Queen of Hearts is still alive, so come down and take a chance to win - the drawing occurs every Friday at 7:00 sharp! The Annual Halloween Party for the kids including a spooky walk through the Haunted Forest will be held on Saturday, October 18th starting at 1:00 - Camp owners are encouraged to join us in the forest starting at 1:00 to distribute candy and goodies to all the goblins. Pizza and the Reptiles of New England will be performing in the club following till 4:00 PM! This event is for children and grandchildren of members. SAVE THE DATE for our Annual Halloween Party on Saturday, October 18th from 6-10 PM in the Club featuring the music of Danny LeBlanc. $5 Cover charge, prizes for best costume and light refreshments will be provided.
The Annual Fishing Derby winners were announced at Monday's members meeting. Keith Tatro reeled in a 31 3/4" Eel for the Adults and Ollie Akers recorded an 18 3/4" Bass for the children. Both received $50! Congrats!
UPDATED IMPORTANT NOTICES TO ALL MEMBERS IMPORTANT - Fall septic tank inspections wil be the 2nd week of October. There will be a $10/day fine on any camp owner who does not have a functioning alarm - this fine will accrue until the alarm is fixed and functioning. Fall cleanup will be on Saturday, November 1st beginning at 9AM - Volunteers are needed - these hours count towards probationary members required hours for membership. The pond draw down will begin on Sunday November 30th - the dam is generally left open for 7-9 days - any work being done along the shoreline MUST have a permit! Any camp owners, especially those who live on the water, and plan to do any work in November or through the winter months must contact Eric Adamnson ASAP - these projects require an NOI from the state and take approximately 3 months to secure - once secured, they are good for three years. All other camp owners must still contact the lot committee for any work you have planned - Lot Committee approvals are good for one year. This month's Member Meeting will be held Monday, October 27th starting promptly at 6:30. Camps for sale are posted in the clubhouse and also on the Camps for Sale page of our website! Owners looking to publish their Camps for sale should contact Lynn Sayarath.
Camp owners who are selling their camps, please see the special notice posted on the Membership page of our website. The Lot Committee meets on the second Monday of each month starting at 6:00 at the Club, the final Lot Committee meeting of the year will be held on Monday, October 13th. The Lot alteration building construction permit form can be found on the Member Forms page of the website. Before beginning any work, please ensure you have a permit. Waterfront owners must go through the club and conservation before any work can be approved - this is REQUIRED!

Are you selling your camp? After posting the camp for sale at the Club, you can add a listing and photos to our "Camps for Sale" page on our website - please contact Lynn Sayarath bostonterrier97@comcast.net to add your camp details!

SAVE THE DATE KIDS HALLOWEEN PARTY Saturday, October 18th
Walk through the Haunted Forest starting at 1:00 PM in the South End of the pond and then head to the Club for a Spooktacular party! The Reptile Show of New England will start at 2:00 and pizza will be served! This event is for children & grandchildren of Members! Camp owners and Members are welcome to distribute candy to our little Goblins along the golf cart path through the Haunted Forest! |

HAUNTED FOREST SCARECROWS
Members and Camp Owners are invited to add a scarecrow to the Haunted Forest located on the golf cart path in the south end of the pond. There are pre-set posts and hay available so you can stuff and attach your scarecrow. Let's make the Haunted Forest a spooktacular place for the little goblins this October. Anyone who places a scarecrow should plan to remove it after Halloween weekend. Thank you in advance for contributing! |

HURRICANE SHUTTERS @ Pond View Pub Installed

A.IX.s20. All lessees are responsible for: The upkeep of their artesian or shallow wells to make sure that the drinking water is safe from bacteria; To maintain their tight tanks and to provide the paper work to show that the tank has been pumped out on an annual basis or more if needed, and; To comply with the order set forth by the Templeton Board of Health, and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection by installing an outside alarm on said tight tank by the close of the camping season 2008.
In order to satisfy the Order of Conditions set forth by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the Town of Templeton's Board of health all camp owners must participate in the Annual Pump-Out and Inspection event utilizing the approved hauler selected through bids by the Board of Directors. Only this (1) one hauler will be accepted and receipts from other haulers will not be accepted. Camp owners who do not comply with these orders will have access to their camp restricted until they are in FULL compliance of said orders.
