Greetings Templeton Fish and Game Members, Guests, and Community Members!
Welcome, July, and some scorching temperatures coming our way - the pond will be a great place to stay cool and enjoy time with family and friends! As we prepare to celebrate America's Semiquincentennial this weekend, we extend a warm welcome to all Templeton Fish & Game Club members and their guests. Please follow all parking restrictions, and anyone traveling on Hogan, Rainbow, or Club Road, the speed limit is 5 MPH - yes, that is a crawl! A friendly reminder that members are responsible for the conduct of any guests they invite to the Templeton Fish & Game Club grounds. Please also remember that the Templeton Fish & Game Club beach is reserved for members and their guests only when accompanied by the member.
On Saturday, we'll celebrate with our 16th Annual Golf Cart & Boat Parade, and this year's theme is America's 250th Birthday! Parade Schedule: Golf Cart Parade: Meet in the Club parking lot at 3:45 PM for a 4:00 PM departure. Boat Parade: Meet at the south end of the pond at 6:15 PM for a 6:30 PM departure. Both parades will complete a full lap around the pond, so decorate your golf carts and boats, wear your red, white, and blue, and help us celebrate this historic milestone in our nation's history. We look forward to seeing everyone come together to show their American pride and community spirit. Happy 250th Birthday, America!
The Queen of Hearts has been FOUND! Congratulations to Peggy Greenwood, who selected the correct card and found the Queen of Hearts on Friday night at the Club! The Queen will take a week off and return on Friday, July 10th. We had another spectacular weekend here at the Templeton Fish with Down Daizy on Saturday night and newcomer Maggie Neff on Sunday afternoon. Our summer music series takes the holiday weekend off and will return on Sunday, July 12th when we have local favorites Kyle & Matt Black! Friday night the main Clubhouse will be closed, Club Member Sommay Sayarath is celebrating his 50th Birthday at the Lower Pavilion and the Pond View Pub will be open to all! Come down and enjoy an ice cold drink and get out of the scorching heat coming our way!
The Club will be closed Saturday and Sunday so our staff can enjoy the holiday weekend!
The pond water is being treated on Tuesday, July 7th - there is NO BOATING, SWIMMING, or FISHING on this day. You will see one single watercraft doing the work! Thank you for your patience while this important treatment is done to ensure we have uninterupted fun all summer long.

Set on one of the most historic spots in our small hilltown -- where town militia trained, the festivities will include music, a colonial re-enactor, a genealogist from the Daughters of the American Revolution, a raffle, and a parade of decorated doll carriages, bicycles and senior walkers.
The First Church of Templeton will host an ice cream social on the common. The Narragansett Historical Society will be open. Bring your lunch and enjoy an old-fashioned picnic on the common! All are welcome. |
