Greetings Templeton Fish and Game Members, Guests, and Community Members!
The repairs to the bridge have been completed, a full update will be given at the next members meeting on Monday, November 25th. If you live locally during the off season, you are likely aware there have been several brush fires including a large one that rose to 4 alarms at Lake Dennison recently. Please be advised that the Templeton Fire Department has issued an Advisory that "ALL outdoor fires are prohibited until further notice. Due to lack of rain and high fire danger there will be no outside fires allowed until we get some rain and the fire danger lowers. Please use caution with any ignition sources outside including the disposal of smoking materials." Please continue to be vigilant when down at your camp. With the abundance of dry leaves around the pond, please be vigilant about the disposal of any smoking material and follow the guidelines from the Templeton Fire Department until the notice is lifted.
This weekend is our very popular Thanksgiving Meat Raffle on Saturday, November 23rd starting at 7:00. Please arrive early, we are usually a packed house! We are looking for donations of baskets for the Chinese Auction. Corn Chowder will be served for free until it's gone! If you are interested in volunteering or donating, please contact Paul Cormier. The Queen of Hearts does continue on Friday nights - come down to the club and have a cold one with your friends and try to find to find the Queen! The jackpot is $5,460 this week! Please note, there will be no Queen on Friday, November 29th after Thanksgiving.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS Lot Lessees, if you have not paid your quarterly taxes that were due on November 1st, they are now overdue. Please pay these immediately! 2025 Membership Renewal notices are out - please visit the Membership page of our website to review the notice and see how you can pay your membership dues! Do you need to update your mailing address, email, or phone before winter? Please use our new contact update form located on our website! You can find the form on our Member Forms page. Members heading South for the winter can drop their membership dues in the black box located in the clubhouse before you leave or mail them to the club before the deadline.
IMPORTANT END OF SEASON NOTES - Norm is looking to open the gate valve on the dam on Sunday, December 1st - paperwork has been filed with the town and the dam will be open for approximately nine days - please plan accordingly! Finally, the conditions of our new DEP Permit are now posted on our website - please review this document for details about what is allowed under our blanket permit and what requires further permitting through the Templeton Conservation Commission - compliance with this order ensures our pond remains a place we can all enjoy for years to come!
